Verena Lewis
Head of Acting & Voice
Originally trained in musical theatre at GSA (1976-79), working professionally for ten years as an actor before pursuing a voice specialism at CSSD (1988-89).
Since then she has spent thirty years training the voices of aspiring actors and performers. She has taught at GSA, LAPA, Oxford School of Drama, Mountview, and The Poor School, where she was Head of Voice for ten years before joining the faculty at The Brighton Academy.
In addition she has run community drama projects, tutored Russian rock singers, rap and spoken word artists; was a co-founder of Alpha Actors and co-founder and artistic director of Sturdy Beggars Theatre Company.
